1. We-Have-It.com insists on Classified Ads being validated to insure the quality of ads.
2. If a user must give a valid email address, numbers of spam ads will be severely cut down.

Problems Validating Ads:

Problem:

Classified Ads not validated within 72 hours of submission are deleted.

Solution:

Ensure that you check your email soon after submitting your ad, then validate your ad immediately.

Problem:

I still get an error message saying my ad has been validated, or can not be found.

Did you already validate your ad? Classified ads can only be validated once.

Problem:

My ad still can't be validated!

Does your ad validation URL look like this:

http://www.we-have-it.com/cgi-bin/adval.cgi?category=CATEGORY&ad=ADREF

CATEGORY will be something like 'US/HL/HL0040', while
ADREF will look something like '20001025.12355' .

If your Validation URL does not look like the above example, your email program my have 'chopped' it into two or more lines.

Simply paste the COMPLETE URL into your browser window to validate your Classified ad. This may take more than one cut and paste operation.

Problem:

I have validated my ad, and it is not in the category I posted it to.

Ads appear with an hour. Our automated ad manager runs about once an hour. Newly validated ads appear next time our ad manager makes a sweep of the system.
